Regulation: RCAC Application Process and Forms

The Department of Health and Family Services is responsible for the registration or certification of RCACs.

Certified RCACs owners may work with the local county human service departments for referral of tenants who are eligible for Medicaid Waiver services. The county can contract for services only in a certified RCAC on behalf of a tenant. Registered RCACs are not allowed to accept Medicaid Waiver payments from any tenant via a county contract.

The Department is required to inspect and verify compliance for certified RCACs. A tenant in a registered RCAC must be notified that the Department is not required to inspect or verify for compliance.

The Department collects information via the application materials and it will give guidance for compliance with Administrative Rule HFS 89; consulting and technical assistance is available from the Department.
