Operations: Management

Management includes both the management of the real estate (marketing, leasing, maintenance) and the management of the supportive services that are available to the tenant. See marketing, staffing, services, policies/procedures, resident contracts, and assessments for Wisconsin RCAC requirements which affect RCAC management.

Management of Supportive Services:

  • ALFA University Weekly Specials and ALFA University which offers classes and videos such as Medication Management, Dining Services, a series on Risk Reduction, and more.

  • American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) is a professional society for nearly 6,000 administrators in long-term care. It offers education and career development through a certification program. Certifications include certified nursing home (CNHA), assisted living (CALA), and subacute care (CAS) administrators.

Management of the real estate:

  • The Institute of Real Estate Management, a professional organization that provides education and certification, and advocates for real estate management industry.

  • The Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM) is a collaboration of the leaders in the fields of nonprofit affordable housing production and community development: The Enterprise Foundation, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation.

  • The National Leased Housing Association (NLHA) trade association representing all major participants – private and public – in the multifamily rental housing industry.

  • The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) is an association representing companies and individuals involved with the management of affordable housing and, in particular, with the management of multifamily housing developments subject to the regulations of federal agencies.
