CHAP Community Housing Alternatives
Program is a legislated program that has set aside the authority
to issue tax-exempt bonds for frail elderly and persons with
disabilities (CHAP bonding in State of Wisconsin Statutes
234.61)
CIP II Community Integration
Program II, a Medicaid home and community based services waivers
for elderly and people with physical disabilities who are
relocated or diverted from nursing homes. CIP II slots are
created when a nursing home bed closes.
CMO Care Maintenance Organization
under Family Care.
COP Community Options Program.
A state-funded program that provides long term care in home
and community based settings. Funds are used to pay expenses
not covered by the MA home and community based services waivers
and to serve clients who are not eligible for Waivers.
COP Waiver Community Options
Program Waiver, a Medicaid home and community based services
waiver for elderly and people with physical disabilities.
ILU Independent Living Unit
(apartment).
LTC Long Term Care.
MA Waiver Medicaid home and
community based services waiver. Includes the COP Waiver and
CIP II. Wisconsin also has separate MA Waivers serving persons
with development disabilities and brain injury.
QAP Qualified Allocation Plan
that annually states the plan for allocation of the low-income
housing tax credits in the state.
RCAC Residential Care Apartment
Complex: A residential care apartment which provides room,
board, and 24-hour a day care for residents who may need personal
care services and medication management. RCACs are either
registered or certified by the state; a certified RCACs can
accept residents who have Medicaid funding.
SNF Skilled Nursing Facility.
SSI Supplemental Security Income.
